Ms. Benta Rop is the Regional Program Manger for a leading global telecommunications company, overseeing 15 countries in East & Central Africa including Angola, Ghana, and Sierra Leone. The Telecommunications Vendor is a Europe-based company specializing in network and Internet protocol (IP) infrastructure, software, and related services market.

Ms. Rop is in charge of several multi-million euro projects and oversees program managers who lead teams across the region to deploy telecommunication network infrastructure.

She has worked in the Telecommunications Engineering industry for over 12 years and has lived and worked in four African countries where she has held various engineering and leadership positions. In 2013, Ms. Rop led the team in Ghana that deployed the first 4G network in Africa.

She holds a BSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and is a certified Program Manager.

Ms. Rop is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
